BASA Swimming and Strength Camp

With the support of the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association, and the Department of Sport and Recreation, all middle school aged students that attend a public school are invited to participate in an exciting new half-day camp. Now run jointly by Swimming Instinct and Athletic Instinct, this camp will combine endurance training of strokes and skills in the pool, and strength training for muscles, tissue, and mind in the gym. 

 

Swimming lessons with instructors from Swimming Instinct, and ‘Introduction to Strength’ classes with coaches at Athletic Instinct will be offered daily. 

 

Daily activities will include:

  • Around 90 minutes of water based activities and training

  • Around 60 minutes of strength training

  • Downtime to refill, rehydrate, and recover

 

Age range: 

10-14 ~ athletic and swimming abilities of all kinds are welcome! We are able to accommodate all skill-sets.

 

Drop Off:

8:30am at Albuoy’s Point, where we will walk to Athletic Instinct Gym as a group

 

Pick Up: 

1:00pm at BASA pool, via Canal Road

 

What to bring:

  • Come in clothes and sneakers suited for the gym

  • Pack a swimsuit appropriate for training

  • Towel 

  • Water bottle

  • Sunscreen (and a hat if needed for walking to the pool)

  • Goggles

  • Lunch (and a couple snacks for fuel!)

  • Bring everything in a backpack or bag easily able to carry!
